Biography
Tichaona Mudhobhi is an innovative, creative 33 year old young man whose vision is to develop people and make them discover their potentials through art.
He is a graduate from the University of KwaZulu Natal a certificate for Working with children, families and communities affected by HIV /AIDS, Conflict, Poverty and Displacement. Then graduated from Mzilikazi Arts and Craft center in Fine Art and Commercial Art AND also did Art and Designing with Bulawayo Polly Technical College.
He has designed several illustrations for books, cards, manuals, tool kits and wall painting for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). He has exhibited his works in Zimbabwe, and America. He is also an author to two self-published books.
Tich (as his nickname) helps people with mental health issues to discover who they are through Art Therapy. He developed a toolkit for training mental health to individuals and institutions.
He is one of the inspirational young men whose vision is to develop people and make them discover their potentials through Art. Now working at Gugulethu Arts as the creative Director, Bradlows Building 402. You can find him on Facebook as Tichaona Mudhobhi.

SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Signed a contract of Performing as an Acter with Intwasa Arts a short film called “AMA2K” 2021 for Amplifying Girls Voices through digital arts. See the movie here https://youtu.be/d2YyS4cOexI
- Worked at MaMoyo Events, duties include, Advertising and Marketing. Six-month contract from Jun to December 2019
- Worked for Hope for a Child in Christ (HOCIC) duties included Enumerator, Data capturing; Program: Urban Food Assistance: 2020 May: Food for Assets WFP 2013, Photographer
- Creative Director at Takunda Youth Development Trust. Duties were Advertising and Marketing, Monitor and evaluating program thematic areas being implemented by Takunda Youth Development Trust (TYDT) project was from 2012 to 2018
- Facilitator at Lead Us Today from 2013 to 2014
- Duties included training high school students in Leadership and Entrepreneurship

- I have signed two contracts with Catholic Relief Services (C.R.S):
- The first contract was from 1 June 2010 through August 30 2010. Working with the HIV Unit and PSS working groups to advance the agenda of the PSS component within OVC program. Specific tasks included: counseling toolkit illustrations and contribute to the development of a storybook for use with children and adolescents with HIV.
- The second contract was from 15 December 2010 through January 2011 working with the HIV Unit from CRS India in the development of illustrations of a Home based care manual.
- Contract with Medecens Sans Frantieres (MSF). The contract include mural paintings and proving illustrations for reports and newsletters.
Extracurricular Activities:
- Currently, I volunteer at Hope for a Child in Christ (HOCIC); duties include enumeration and food distribution
- I have been working with children living with HIV offering psychosocial support with Million Memories Project Zimbabwe from 2008 to 2011 as a volunteer. The job included: report writing, workshop facilitating, teaching art and youth meeting facilitation and planning
- Worked with Mehlo Art Academy as an Art coordinator Advertising and Marketing the project 2009 to 2011 volunteer
- MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Nominee for the Best Artist in Bulawayo and represented Artist in Harare for the Green Enterprise celebrating 100 years for the International Labor Organization (ILO)
- Published a book and launched it at the University of Zimbabwe 2017
- 1ST Prize in the Intwasa arts festival artist September 2011
- Participating in the 2010 international Young Summit at the University Of Marry Land in Baltimore (U.S.A)
- 1ST Prize in the Intwasa arts festival Painting Together art exhibition 2006
